Avoid too much puff fabric and other bulky details placed on the sleeves, most especially on the upper part of your arms because this will just make your arms look thicker
Avoid crushing structured sections while checking the delivered garment. Discuss construction details with a tailor before requesting alterations.
Check coverage in the particular color you intend to buy. Consider whether the waistband is meant to be visible or covered in your preferred outfits.
A belt worn at the natural waist may need a different adjustment from one worn lower on the body. Use a belt because it adds useful fit adjustment or a look you enjoy, rather than treating one as compulsory with every skirt.
